Having only had my fabulous handmade kitchen for a little over two years it was quite a shock to discover that the leak in my central heating system was under the kitchen floor. The floor would need to be dug up and some of the cabinets and panelling removed. This at a time when we were in the process of moving to France for a couple of years and about to rent out the house. Not only did you and the team step in quickly to remove the cabinets and panelling with no damage whatsoever (no mean feat when removing granite worktops!) but you stored them for us as well.
Now that everything is fixed, the cabinets refitted and with a fresh coat of paint, the kitchen looks as gorgeous as it did two years ago. A huge thank you to you and the team, especially Luis. The quality of the furniture you make and the professionalism of your entire company has seen us work with you on additional individual pieces of furniture for our home and rest assured it will see us work with you in the future. George Montagu’s designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke fitted kitchen for me in January 2008. The design was in conjunction with me.
The removal of the old kitchen was achieved quickly with practically no inconvenience.
The units ( which they had previously manufactured ) were installed within a week. They were of good quality and fitted precisely. Assistance and advice were freely given in the choice of electrical and other appliances. The colour scheme was particularly pleasing. The installers were at all times punctual, careful, precise and courteous and the quality of their work was of a very high standard.
I am particularly satisfied with the end result and would strongly recommend the firm to anyone in search of an individual kitchen of good quality and pleasing character.

We spent ages looking for the "right" kitchen table & chairs in solid oak. As we needed a large table with the ability to be extended at each end our criteria were very specific.
Having seen an example of your solid oak table & chairs we were so impressed with the quality of the wood and the workmanship that we decided to place an order.
The table & chairs arrived on time and the quality was outstanding. We were delighted as this provided a stunning centre piece for our kitchen.
You can imagine our resulting despair when overnight a battery leaked acid onto the table. However, the table was taken back to the workshop for restoration and within a week we returned as good as new.

We wanted furniture for the room we now call our library, though we had no very clear idea as to precisely what we wanted. You soon clarified our thoughts and made valuable suggestions. The design you produced for the book-cases and drawer unit was both practical and elegant.
Having commissioned the furniture it was a pleasure to come to the workshop and see it in the course of manufacture. The next stage was the fitting, and this too went smoothly.

We first used George Montagu's a few years ago when we refurbished our home office and at that time they produced some bespoke pieces of furniture for us. Therefore when we started thinking about a new kitchen we decided to see what they could come up with and we were very pleased that we did.Nick was very helpful in getting us focussed on what we were trying to achieve and providing us with innovative ideas to supplement our own and guide us through the design process. We had also approached other suppliers, but the general approach from them had been that they had a standard range of products and how could our requirements fit around their standard range whereas with George Montagu it was just the opposite in terms of tell us what you want and we will make it. We were also pleasantly surprised when we received the quotation as we were fearing the worst in terms of the price to be paid for such a bespoke kitchen. In terms of installation the units were prefabricated in the workshop thus enabling the fitting to be carried out relatively quickly. The removal of the old kitchen and installation of the new was certainly carried out more quickly and efficiently than we had expected. The team of installers, who were the same people that had made the units in the workshop, turned up on the day promised and kept to the agreed timetable. There were a few snaggings to be dealt with afterwards, but nothing of any consequence. We now have a super bespoke kitchen and utility room built in solid wood in a traditional style with polished wooden worktops and such a lot of hidden extras that we were not anticipating when we started the process. Overall we are delighted with what we have ended up with and would have no hesitation in recommending Nick and the team to friends.
