The Ancaster Project Case Study 2 of 19 - Previous - Next
A very common brief where living space is to be created with the removal of an internal wall and extension to be achieved on a realistic budget.
The use of the space in the preparation area was a key factor in the discussions with the client as major baking sessions were common!
The large island unit has not only provided an enormous amount of storage it has also created the worktop needed for all that baking. It also provides a delightful piece of furniture when seated in the sitting room and the perfect break between the two rooms that is enhanced by the careful blending together of each rooms floor covering.
The free seated wall cupboard above the work surface that gently runs into the sitting area is not only a delightful feature but also a very practical use of quite difficult wall space.
In the final analysis a lovely bright and airy living space to enjoy the wonderful baking that is a regular feature on the table.
